"I work here..."

Outside the box

Saturday marked my (triumphant?) return to P&P roleplaying, when Ed and I pitched up chez Marley (Chris and Narin were gracious house guests of Her Majesty) for our first foray into Chicago By Night. It was so much fun. Even if we are fail-vampires and Chris is evil. I'm sure we'll get better (oh god I hope we do, or we'll all be dead by the end of session two), but so far we have learned:

1 - DO NOT MOCK THE GM. A schoolboy error. I'm pretty sure that Chris would not have felt the need to blow up our haven and kill... er... pretty much our entire support network if we'd been nicer to him.

2 - "I work here" is not the best way to break into a club security office. No really, it isn't.

3 - If you're going to pitch up to a student dorm at approximately 1am while looking for a Tremere chantry, it's probably a good idea to have an excuse in place for when a confused looking teenage girl opens the front door. The one you're all standing right outside.

I think we're starting to get the hang of the immense levels of paranoia you need to survive in the World of Darkness (especially when Chris is your GM). And once we're a little more familiar with what our various abilities do (as opposed to forgetting we have them) I'm sure there will be no stopping us.

But if Narin keeps referring to me as 'dumpee' there may be an unfortunate frenzy related incident... ;)

I  really enjoyed myself - and can't wait until our next session, though I am slightly worried that anyone intercepting our emails might think we're a bunch of mass-murdering psychos. "I still think the crematorium is going to be our best bet for all the bodies".
